Chris
DIRECTOR & FOUNDER
Chris's journey began when he was born hard of hearing. However, his hearing loss progressed in his late teens, leading him to experience deafness. At the age of 18, Chris made the courageous decision to undergo surgery for cochlear implants, which would significantly improve his hearing ability.
Throughout his life, Chris has always had a strong desire to help others. Recognizing the challenges faced by individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing, he identified a significant gap in the industry specialising in providing suitable support for this community. Motivated by his own experiences, Chris decided to pursue a career as a support worker.
With an unwavering dedication to making a difference, Chris embarked on a mission to bridge the gap and cater to the unique needs of those who are deaf and hard of hearing. He realized that there was a lack of accessible and comprehensive support services available. In response, Chris took matters into his own hands and launched Deaf and Hearing HQ.
